Calypso Dive Center has been in Maspalomas in the South of the island Gran Canaria since 1996. The only 5 Star PADI Dive Center in the area of Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés. You find our dive center at the frontside of the Hotel Dunas Mirador Maspalomas Sonnenland, meet us and we will offer you a wide range of PADI Diving Courses.
Our perfectly trained PADI instructors accompany you to interesting dive sites of Gran Canaria such the Marine Reserve “El Cabrón” Arinaga which count to the top 100 dive sites in the world and comes up with one of the highest concentration of different fish species around the Canary Islands.
The Marine Reserve “El Cabrón” as well as the adjoined dive site “Risco Verde” are also ideal for nightdives, where be conspicuous at the encountered sea creatures from the night dive on the size and Art very large differences to the day dive.

The Marine Reserve “El Cabrón” as well as the adjoined dive site “Risco Verde” are also ideal for nightdives, where be conspicuous at the encountered sea creatures from the night dive on the size and Art very large differences to the day dive. For diving beginners (Discover Scuba Diving) and for divers with little diving experience and divers who have over a longer period no dives completed, the dive site “Risco Verde Arinaga” extremely recommendable. As it is close to the Marine Reserve of Arinaga, the abundance of marine life accordingly.
Shipwrecks
For the slightly more experienced divers (Advanced Diver), Gran Canaria has diving sites to shipwrecks at Las Palmas such the in March 1991 sunken cargo ship “Kos Iceland” with its total length of 139 meters, gives so many for divers to explore. Additional shipwrecks which make the wreck diving in Gran Canaria interesting, is the in August 1989 Sunken Fish trawler at the dive site “Roque Ceniciento” which has his final place of rest been found in front of “La Isleta de Las Palmas”, and offers us divers a Refugio rich in fish species and great biological diversity.
